DW Classic Black

October 26, 2016

The first watch I ever owned was a Baby-G watch. It was hardy and had all the beeps and boops and I never took it off. One fateful summer after seventh grade, I realised that I had developed an unmistakable watch tan. I decided to take it off for the summer to even out the tan, but little did I know, I would never wear another watch again… until now.

I mean, I had my phone, so why did I need a watch? Still, it’s more convenient to have my hands free and not have to take out my phone to check the time and rely on the iPhone battery life. A few years ago, around the time I started getting into blogging, I eyed the Daniel Wellington Classic (White). I wasn’t sure whether I liked it because I truly liked it or I liked it because it fit the minimal aesthetic. Either way, I liked it, but I never took the plunge.

Then Jane @ Deluminators shared a post about Daniel Wellington’s new collection, the Classic Black, and I fell in love with the watch all over again–the gorgeous Durham strap, the elegant black watch face, the rose gold frame ♡ I’m a sucker for anything rose gold. I figured, I’ve admired this watch from a distance for long enough; it’s time I finally get it for myself!

So I did! With Jane’s nifty little code, I was able to place an order before it went public on October 10 and get a 15% off discount too, which made me feel better about choosing to get this watch from the new collection over buying the Classic (White) off Amazon Prime for much cheaper. I finally have a watch and I am so happy with it. The Classic Black is absolutely gorgeous! So ready for my new watch tan.
