Hubsy

coffee and biscuits - hubsy cafe | brunch at audrey's

Since I only had two days in Paris, Ariane and I made sure to meet up before I left, as she was there for her summer internship. We met on the swim team when I was a first-year at Bryn Mawr, and now she’s graduated and off to grad school in England in the fall! Anyways, she was trying to find a hip place she thought I would like, and she hit the nail right on the head. Cue Hubsy. I’m obsessed!

I didn’t realise until I started writing this blog post, but the last time I featured Ariane in a blog post was when I wrote about Green Engine Coffee back in the suburbs of Philly. I guess she’s my go-to gal for cool cafe spots hehe. Oh, and that’s Can on the far left. He’s from our college consortium as well. Ariane and Can knew each other as they both majored in economics, but I met him for the first time at Hubsy. It’s always cool running into people from your community (:

Hubsy is a cafe and coworking space. It’s 5€ for the first hour, 2€ for each additional half hour (or 20€ for the day), and during that time… you got unlimited coffee (or tea) and biscuits/nutella/other treats!!! I downed a mocha, matcha latte, and some biscuits, and Ariane downed a chai latte, matcha latte, and some biscuits as well–all in an hour’s work!

Even though Ariane, Can, and I were there to chat, Hubsy isn’t a place to chat. We didn’t know that until we got there, so we tried our best to keep it down. Everyone else was working away very diligently. I didn’t take too many pictures because I didn’t want to annoy the other customers as we were probably already testing their patience with our chatter, sorry!

I’m surprised there weren’t more people at Hubsy, but I suppose I should be thankful because it’s a rather small space. If you’re in Paris and need a place to work, I highly recommend Hubsy. Fill that place up!

Does anybody know a cafe in Philly with a similar concept?? I need!! Especially as I’m to write my senior thesis this upcoming semester… (⊙△⊙✿)
