This past week has been crazy busy. I’ve been out and about, and was only able to touch my laptop during the last hour every evening, but I’d usually pass out thirty minutes into it. Most of my screen time has been spent writing emails to professors and coordinating schedules for special events. Not too much blogging going on. I’ve only just started writing up this post on Sunday night, and I’m trying to recollect all the happy moments from this past week, but all I want to do right now is go to sleep! When this post goes live, I’ll be one hour into my first class of the semester. In other news, I have a ton of apartment updates for you, but I’m not sure when I’ll get around to editing the photos and writing it up.
Meatballs, pototoes, dolls- 34/52 :)
This weekend I watched Mr. Robot S01E01 and Stranger Things S01E01. And also Stranger Things S01E02, E03, E04, …, E08. This coming week, the only things on my to-do list are to get my house furnished (my Ikea checklist is already written, and my Bed Bath & Beyond checklist has already been taken care of) and finish all of Mr. Robot and all of Silicon Valley. And, if I can, get all my Europe travel posts drafted and ready to go. That’s a productive to-do list for the last week before school starts, right?
Germany – 33/52 :)
I’m back in Philly and today I’m picking up my keys for my new apartment! In fact, I’ll probably be inspecting the apartment and signing the lease when this post goes live. I’m not sure when I’m gonna start actually moving in since it’s totally bare, but I’ll start with moving my summer storage boxes in. This coming week will probably be filled with trips to Ikea. I’m so excited!
Italy – 32/52 :)
Just popping by to say that I’m giving myself a break from writing this week’s Happy List (and potentially even next week’s too, but it’ll be made up with individual posts from four cities!). The days have been full, and there have been too many happy moments here in Rome, Florence, and Venice. I can’t wait for more of them, and this week they’ll be made in Berlin! Meanwhile, you can keep up with my travels on Snapchat and Instagram ♡
Coffee, sleepover, movies – 31/52 :)
My last day of work was on Friday, and now I have just under two weeks to vacation in four cities with my family! By the time you’re reading this, I’ll be in Rome until the 3rd, Florence until the 5th, Venice until the 7th, and Berlin until the 12th. I already have blog posts scheduled until the end of August (which will more than cover the time I’m away in Europe) excluding my weekly Happy Lists, so the blog won’t go quiet, but I’m not sure how often I’ll be at my computer to keep up with my Bloglovin’ feed, reply to your lovely comments, and check out your awesome blogs. Tbh, I don’t want to be at my computer too often these next two weeks, and when I do find downtime, I’ll probably be submerging myself in a book (or that’s what I tell myself I’ll do anyway). But you can find me live on Snapchat and I’ll try to keep my Instagram up to date as well!
Ahh I’m so excited and anxious about the trip! I don’t think I’ll settle down until I meet up with my family in Europe, and then my anxiety about traveling alone will finally subside. I’m drafting this post “so far” in advance (I’m writing this on a Wednesday to publish on Monday) because I can’t think about anything but travel plans from Thursday onward, so that accounts for the lost second half of the week undocumented on the blog!
Bolognese, picnic, adulting – 30/52 :)
Lately I’ve been seeing a bunch of blog posts about academic planners and other back-to-school shenanigans, and I’m just like chill. Then in the middle of this past week I realised that this coming week was my last week at my summer job, and then I’d be off to Europe! I didn’t even realise until my supervisor mentioned that there were a ton of projects he needed my help wrapping up in the coming week. These ten weeks of summer work have passed by so quickly! I’m at once excited to be done with work and on vacation but also anxious about getting closer to the next academic year. Junior year is gonna be a tough one.
