Plugins, design, passes – 27/52 :)

July 4, 2016

Happy Fourth of July! Normally I draft these posts on Thurs/Fri then add to the list as the weekend goes on, but I’m away this weekend and have left my laptop behind, so I’ve scheduled this post to publish as normally scheduled, which means that I won’t have any updates about my Fourth of July weekend. I’ll be spending it staycationing at Jennifer’s apartment again, and this time with even more friends over! (Check out this post from when I staycationed at her place for Memorial Day Weekend!) Maybe I’ll share about it in a blog post of itself, or maybe I’ll cram it into my weekly Happy List. Hope everyone is having fun, because I have no doubt that I will be!

A month of conscious mornings | #theCLmovement

July 1, 2016

Hello July! I don’t usually write these monthly recap/updates/goals because I’m terrible with routine and checking things off lists, but lately I’ve been thinking a lot about conscious mornings and so many things aligned: conscious mornings bring together values that I’ve shared on the blog previously in the form of my 52 project last year, which was based on mornings; the beginning of a month is a beautiful time to start anything, geometrically speaking (well, not geometrically speaking, but something about that word conveys what I feel, I think, so imma plop it there); Rae of Love from Berlin introduced #theCLmovement. If all that isn’t a sign, then I don’t know what is!

Bluestone Lane

June 29, 2016

I’ve already told you guys about my Memorial Day Weekend over at Jennifer‘s apartment, but let’s throw it back to the first time I properly hung out with Jennifer. I’d already known of Jennifer because I followed her photography on Tumblr, though I don’t know if she knew I did, and I’d also seen her photos on Facebook when she tagged our mutual friends in them, but the two of us, me and her, were never introduced, so I just admired her photography from a distance.

Oh how the times have changed. Today she’s sharing her photography with us here on the blog (with some of mine thrown in too) from that time we brunched at Bluestone Lane together with Victoria over spring break!

Sunshine, cookies, goobers – 26/52 :)

June 27, 2016

Time is always a funny thing when I’m on break. Is it Monday? Is it Saturday? Who cares! It’s summer! Looking back on my week and trying to account for my days, it feels like I’m not doing much. Is it problematic that the majority of my List seems to consist of food? I don’t have very many updates except that my watch of this week has been Pirates of the Caribbean. (Last week was Harry Potter.) (Maybe this week I’ll go for Lord of the Rings.) It’s scary to have the days go by and having it seem like you’ve done nothing with that time. I mean, I have been doing stuff, but nothing that feels worth reporting on. I’ve been working 9-5; I’ve been working on my blog; those two things are basically my whole summer. I’ve fallen into a routine and there doesn’t seem to be much to update you on except that I’ve made more progress with my web design for work and I’ve edited more photos and drafted more posts for my blog, both of which excite me and are fulfilling, but aren’t as exciting to talk about as they are to show. Nevertheless, let it be known that I am content 🙂

Green Engine Coffee

June 24, 2016

I wanted to catch Ariane before she left to study abroad for the Spring 2016 semester, so we found an afternoon to hang out at Green Engine Coffee. It’s on the Blue Bus route (between Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges), which I traverse several times a day (because I’m a Bryn Mawr student majoring at Haverford). Each time we passed by, I’d peek through the windows, tantalized by the gorgeous aesthetics. It’s thee place to get your quintessential Instagram cafe shot.

Sabrina’s Cafe

June 22, 2016

During the school year, I usually just stick between the towns of Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Ardmore. I’ve frequented Starbucks, Hothouse Coffee, Green Engine Coffee, and Saxby’s Coffee, which are all the nearby coffee shops. But just one town beyond that is Wynnewood. It really isn’t as far as I think, so I don’t know why it never occurred to me before now to head over there whenever I start to feel like the town is getting too small.

Bomi and I had been wanting to go to a cafe together for awhile, to Green Eggs Cafe for their red velvet pancakes specifically (which are thee thing to [Insta]gram), but it’s not the most convenient place to get to (as in it’s not a close walk from a SEPTA station and we’re too lazy to walk any further), and it’s usually quite busy and crowded. Nevertheless, we were determined to go to some cafe, so we did a quick Google search and decided to check out Sabrina’s Cafe in Wynnewood.

Hey there!

Catch me burrowed in a book with some boba on hand. My life is pretty average, but it’s the little things that count, right? Thanks for stopping by! -Audrey
